A few days from now, on Thursday 30th June, two young women in the USA will celebrate their nineteenth birthday. Lynx and Lamb are no ordinary teenagers, however, because they used to enjoy notoriety as the pop duo known as Prussian Blue.
Lynx and Lamb are fraternal twins, born in California in 1992. They were raised by their mother April Gaede to support the American white pride movement. Homeschooled by her, and with a precocious musical talent, the twins began singing at white pride events at a young age. They sang covers of songs by nationalist artists, and were not afraid to make Nazi salutes to their audiences.
I like eBay. I use it to buy books, DVDs, clothes, electrical goods ... all sorts of things. But eBay is not just about selling. It also supplies comedic material to national newspapers, and does so free of charge. A wargames enthusiast has just been banned from selling a figurine of Hitler on eBay, while last year another eBay customer was banned from selling a board game he bought in the 1970s because it was decorated with swastikas.
My last submission attracted a lot of negative comments, and I could not help but laugh at the lack of thought behind most of them. Not one person offered an alternative identification for either behemoth or Grendel, which is not surprising. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to explain why I am wrong in saying that behemoth and Grendel are a saurapod and bipedal dinosaur respectively – and without resorting to pomposity or evasion.
An unexpected consequence of my last submission (regarding the American politician Sarah Palin) was this comment from one reader, as follows:
Palin ... insists that humans and dinosaurs inhabited the Earth at the same time and other excruciating and deadly idiocy.
I am not sure what Sarah Palin believes about the early history of the earth, but many people nowadays believe that dinosaurs existed for millions of years before humans even existed. The fact remains however that The Bible clearly states that human beings were created on the sixth day, and that all land animals were created earlier on that same day. Therefore although dinosaurs existed before humans, it would only have been for a matter of a few hours at the most.
A favourite pastime of a lot of people right now is to poke fun at American politician Sarah Palin. The latest allegation against her is that she recently gave an inaccurate account of the activities of the American folk hero Paul Revere. Her exact words were:
He warned the ... the British they weren’t gonna be taking away our arms by ringing those bells and making sure as he’s riding his horse through town to send those warning shots and bells that we were gonna be secure and we were gonna be free.
I remember back in my high school days reading a poem in English class which contained the word Armageddon.. Not having come across this word before, I asked the teacher where Armageddon was.. He replied that it is not a place, but rather an allusion to the end to the world.. He was wrong though.. Armageddon is a hill adjacent to the town of Megiddo in Israel.
