Islam should become our state religion

Most of us are by now familiar with David Cameron's infamous quotation:
"Many British Asians [Muslims] see a society that hardly inspires them to integrate. Indeed, they see aspects of modern Britain which are a threat to the values they hold dear. Not for the first time, I found myself thinking that it is mainstream Britain which needs to integrate more with the British Asian [Muslim] way of life, not the other way around." and probably thought, that his views were not necessarly those of the conservative party, but you would be wrong.
Over on the conservative website, whose writers also created the Nothing British about the BNP site, one of their more prominent writers has posted the following.
It's time to move on. We need to abandon the last vestiges of Christian role in our constitution, and regard Christians as the minority we are, entitled to proper protection in a liberal society of the sort we automatically extend to Muslims and Hindus.
But we cannot hope to abandon religious inspiration in our constitution. All that does is create a disconnect between an irreligious polity and our ineliminably religious Folk, and will make our Establishment despised rather than perceived as the rulers and leaders it should be. So we must have something. As I have said above, Christians accept the dictats of evidence over intuitive reason, but Islam is the most straightforwardly intuitive religion of all. Its core doctrines make perfect sense: there is one God over all the earth; He is our creator; He commands obedience from us; He will judge us at the end of our lives sending the virtuous to paradise and the wicked to hell. How could it be any more obvious?
Islam is also clearly tempting to our Establishment - they admire its disciplines, certainty, self-confidence and clear hierarchies of authority. If Muslim politicians express matters in moral categories or talk about their prayers, they are not condemned in the way that Christian politicians are. If our Establishment adopted Islam as its religion of inspiration, and we chose Islamic religious leaders to listen to as our society's moral guides, The Folk could be diverted from their superstitions and decadence into more morally purposeful and energetic projects. Our lethargic, morbid Establishment could be quickened into life by clear moral goals provided by those they could respect and listen to. Sunni Islam has also (and crucially), historically been the second most successful structure for promoting tolerant multi-cultural societies (behind Protestantism and ahead of Catholicism).
Barking mad of course but his views are shared by many of the "elite" who sees themselves as superior to what the writer of the shameful piece above refers to as The Folk - that would be you and I.
Else where in another of his articles this arrogant member of the elite also writes in a follow up article where he continues to dig a deeper hole for himself and the conservative party:
And having Islam as our state religion would not necessarily imply adopting Sharia Law. We wouldn’t need to ban pork or alcohol or insist that men and women cover up in public. Perhaps our religious leaders would criticize drunkenness and public indecency rather more than they do now – and that might be no bad thing. But even quite strict Muslim countries such as those in the Gulf permit the sale of alcohol in licensed establishments. Since we would remain a democracy I see no likelihood that bans on alcohol or pornography would follow from our adoption of Islam.
What planet are these people from? Remain a democracy under Islam? This is what he and the conservatives are proposing.
• Establishing an official British Islam, with leaders appointed by the Monarch. The British Islamic leaders would anoint the Monarch when a new one was selected.
• These Islamic leaders would say prayers at the commencement of Parliament and at the beginning of daily sessions.
• Major Islamic festivals would become public holidays.
• These Islamic leaders would sit in the Second Chamber.
• These Islamic leaders would be consulted by Monarch and Prime Minister for their views on the moral implications of all significant policies (including, for example, most economic questions).
• These leaders would be given slots on public service broadcasters to offer their views on major issues of policy.
• Fund the establishment of local Islamic congregations in every area of the country. It wouldn’t matter if there weren’t many attendees.
• Publicly funded schools would, by default, have a short Muslim act of worship each day, and children in all schools would be required to have a working knowledge of the central doctrines of Islam.
• Lawyers would be required to study key tenets of Islamic concepts of justice.
• Local Islamic leaders would attend civic events and local government.
We are talking seriously crazy here now but this is what they are thinking and planning and one final piece from the conservative party website that reveals what they really think of us - the people.
Islam is very far from perfect. But, then again, whilst Islam has not always treated women well, secularism has produced us a society in which we have state-sponsored industrial-scale slaughter of infants (and that’s only the worst of its many faults) – you pays your money and you takes your choice.
The Folk dull their pain with drink, empty sex, and reality TV, whilst trying to fill the void they cannot deny with superstition. And we, the powerful, leave them to it, for we see no reason not to. Meantime, in the rest of the world, other Folks live under tyranny and incompetence, denied what we take for granted. And we, the powerful leave them to it, for we see no reason not to.
If we, the people are dumbed down, you only have to look no further than The Establishment who deliberately dumbed Our Nation down and flooded Our Country with enrichers in order to maintain control over us - the simple Folk that they despise.
